French connection

Woohoo, three show without a line up change. Actually, that's a new record for us. Besides that, that was also our first show abroad. I tell you, we're going to be huuuuuuuuuuuge! But seriously our France trip was great. David and Alex had made the way to Freiburg the day before to attend the Weekend Nachos/Deathrite/Cancer Clan show at the Schattenparker place. This was a fun night as well, but that story won't be  told here. We'll just leave it with saying it all had to do with pizza ingredients and a lot of a drink called "Mexican".
So Dan met with his band mates and the Hellborn Messiah guys at the latter's rehearsal space. After we put all neeeded gear into two cars we somehow managed to put all band members into those vehicles as well and left for the border.
By the time we arrived in the Vosges mountains it was past nightfall so weren't able to enjoy the beautiful landscape yet. When we arrived at Le Thillot, Deathrite had already come as well as the young French band Mazettegrindfack who opened the night playing their first show. They were quite young boys and seemed to have brought all their schoold buddies. Those French kids were about to party - when we set up for playing as the second band of the night, everyone in the audience seemed to be quite drunk.
Our show, however, wasn't really our best. Some songs went pretty chaotic, let's blame it on the sub-optimal sound at that venue (and, granted, on us being a bit short on rehearsals lately). However we made it through our set quite okay and the kids seemed to enjoy it as well. Deathrite and Hellborn Messiah absolutely nailed it that night. Both did really impressing shows.
Afterwards we had another twenty minute drive to our booker's place where three German bands and our French hosts hung out for a couple of hours. Alex was lucky enough to get a nice present by one of the house cats (a dead mouse of course). And meeting some really young kittens the next morning was the absolute highlight beforel leaving homewards. And this was a nice drive! A sunny fall day finally let us enjoy the amazing landscape. Thanks everybody!

My eyes! The goggles do nothing!

So our second show in the current line up was quite some time ago, so here's just a bit of an update on this.

Well, hometown shows should always be fun. And this one was as much as home as you can get. It was in our rehearsal space - so a hand full of friends are enough to have this place packed. It was a lot of fun. And a lot of sweat.

And yes, there also was blood, as you can see on Alex' finger. He also was struck by a bad cold. He had been through some fever the night before and his voice wasn't really there - but he managed to pass that flu on to some other people. Maybe that makes up for it a bit.
Thanks to everyone that came out and to Uzbeks who really rocked. The pictures were taken by our friend Christoph - thanks, man.

Reviving the corpse

Ah! Good to feel like a real band again. The Frankfurt show was a lot of fun and we managed to mess up no more than one song. Ghost Of Wem were as a tight as a band can be after 12 days of touring and being drunk every night. They totally floored everything. Gun Mob's van died somewhere between Mannheim and Frankfurt, so they couldn't make it but that was the only down in a night of ups (as long as you count a certain Attention Armageddon member vomitting out of a moving car's window as a up). However, a big thank you to Fonsy and everyone at the Exzess - it's been a blast.

Too add even more to that real band thing, we managed to finish our demo. You can download and stream it at bandcamp. I think we're adding a mediafire link or something if we run out of free downloads at bandcamp (not that we expect anything like that). We've also added a player to the right -->
While the tape version is still in the works, the cd-r version is finished. It's 2,00 plus postage.

HUGE thanks to our friend Älex who navigated us poorly talented chaps throught the recording and did a fantastic job throughout the whole recording and mixing process.

As for the remainder of 2011 - we're looking to play some shows so if you like to set something up we'd love to hear from you. Maybe we're going to play one or two shows on the first october weekend, but nothing's fixed so far.

Repeat:

Well, it seems Attention Armageddon is in for line up-changes every two shows. Caro left us after two shows and now Sebi does the same. An extensive work schedule doesn't allow him to find enough time for rehearsals, shows etc. So he decided to quit the band. We're going to record the songs we've did with him in the near future. Probably we'll be doing some kind of online release of those recordings. We're sad Sebi can't be a part of this band any longer, but are motivated to continue no matter what.
At the moment we're not looking for a replacement but try to go on as a three piece. We're working on vocals for a couple of newer songs as well as re-doing those for songs Sebi sang. Dan and Alex are sharing vocal duties now. First priority is to put together a live set, so we can start playing again soon. Soon? Wait, there's another problem: Dan is changing his employer, so we have to see how it work shifts will look like. So looking for shows soon means starting to look in may. But hey, that's pretty soon, so if you're setting up shows: attentionarmageddon[at]gmail[dot]com
You can use or new contact form as well.
Of course we're planning to record three piece-songs as well, hopefully with Sebi as our sound engineer.
